Please, look at my vagina

I'm so tired. I much too tired to writie anything of any quality right now. I saw The Prestige last night. Great movie. It makes me jealous and discouraged to watch a movie like that. Whenever I watch a good movie, I think to myself "I have good ideas. Maybe I should have been a writer." Then I watch something like that and I realize that I would never write anything that good. (sigh)

I saw a patient in clinic yestereday complaining of vaginal itching. I talked to her for about 5 minutes or so. "No doctor, there's no discharge and no odor that I'm aware of." She had no bleeding, no pain - no other complaint besides the itching.
"Ok well, I'll need to examine you now. I'll come back with the nurse and-"
She cut me off, "Are you nerveous doctor?" I looked around, as if there were some other doctor in the room and she was asking if he was nerveous. Clearly, she couldn't be asking me if I was nerveous. I was a lot of things: tired, annoyed, frustrated, irriatated - nerveous? Nope, can't say that I was.
"No," I replied. "I'm not nerveous. Why do you ask?"
"Oh, because I don't want you to be nerveous, doctor. I want you to really to exmaine me. Don't hold back. I want you to touch my vagina. I want you to really look in there and see what's going on."
"Ok, well-"
"Because I don't want you to miss anything. Please don't be nerveous. Just look at my vagina." I had pretty much gotten over the fact that women don't mind talking about things like their genitalia and their menstrual cycles as a third year medical student. But this woman seemed to have a particular insensitivity to the word 'vagina,' the phrase 'my vagina' and the words 'look,' touch' and 'my vagina' all within the same sentence. So i took a look at her vagina, just like she asked me to. I didn't see anything too impressive, honestly. We treated her for a yeast infection and sent her and her vagina on ther way.
