NTD

Work is always so busy, I get antsy when there's nothing to do. Only one patient on the list, conference was canceled and the OR doesn't start until 9am today. My senior just called. The 3rd year is on vacation and it's just him and I on service now. He won't get here until 9. He told me he had an overnight "guest" and "it's a long story" but apparently he didn't "get to bed" until 4am. So I'm just babysitting the students for now.
I have a couple of ESSURE's today. I like those. It's a procedure I want to get really good at. I suppose I should want to get good at everything - and I guess I do. But somehow, I see myself growing up into more of a laparoscopic/hysteroscopic person. Or maybe a pathologist. Or a paramedic. I had a patient a couple of weeks ago who's a paramedic. She works 8 days a month and makes 90K a year. Sometimes I really question my career choice.
